    Incredible value for money

Posted by Justin on 13th Sep 2021

Excellent clarity and image stability as well as being light weight with a very good hardish travel case make this small binocular from Carl Zeiss real value for money. One would have to move up to $1,500 or more to do materially better.

    AMAZING CLARITY

Posted by Rebecca on 29th Dec 2020

I've gone through a bunch of different brand binoculars and these are so superior in the clarity of vision and comfort to look through. It's like the difference between an old tv and a new one. Birds are almost 3D and the colours are vivid. There is no opaqueness like you find in other binoculars. They are lightweight and come with a sturdy storage case. Costly but worth it. Highly recommended.

    Good lightweight birdwatching binoculars

Posted by Michael JAMES on 28th Dec 2020

I'm very pleased with these binoculars, and delighted with Double Bay's prompt mail-order service. They were in overnight post the 1st working day. They are great bushwalking binoculars, small, light, and clear. They let me see enough for effective birdwatching. They don't have the brightness, field-of-view, or beauty of my 8x42 pair. (Celestron Granite) But at less than 1/2 the weight, they will be the pair I take walking, and so better than the bigger pair in a drawer at home. The focus thumbwheel is too small and stiff, I will look at getting some fat O rings to beef it up. The oyster case works well now I have worked out to stuff the strap between the barrels then fold them in. I wish they came with some lens-caps, they are already getting dusty.

    Excellent compact binoculars

Posted by Unknown on 31st Aug 2019

A very nice pair of compact binoculars with fantastic optics. I bought them so that I would not have to take my full-size birding Bono’s on local walks. The focus wheel is a little slow but should ease with use. They come with a neck strap and fit easily into a jacket pocket. The hard case provides good protection but unfortunately the binoculars don’t fit easily into it once the strap is fitted.

    Terra Ed Pocket Binoculars

Posted by Unknown on 12th Jun 2018

These 8x25 Terra Ed pocket binoculars are great. Smaller than the 10x45 version I also have but just as clear. Excellent binoculars for trips and walks. Thanks again also for your great service.

Zeiss Terra ED 8x25 pocket binoculars

Posted by Unknown on 18th Jan 2018

These compact binoculars are finished to a high specification - made in Japan to Zeiss' design. While never a replacement for full sized glasses, these optics provide a crisp, bright, wide image in reasonably bright lighting. The focus wheel is slightly stiff, but might loosen up with use. The ED glass is a real bonus and as a great backpacking optic these binocs are excellent value for money. Out of 5 - handling/feel : 4, Finish : 5, Image quality : 4.5, Value for money : 5. If you already own a top shelf full sized, the little Terra makes a great take- anywhere companion, or for the lightweight traveller, these binoculars could be a good idea.
